Mrs Lyndsey

Dance Instructor

Mrs Lyndsey was raised and grew up dancing in Newport, RI.  She began dance at the age of 5 and hasn’t stopped.  She began competitively dancing at the age of 7 which helped her receive numerous awards and scholarships that helped her spend many of her summers on scholarships at Steps on Broadway , The Joffrey School of Ballet, the University of Las Vegas as well as going on tours as a teacher assistant for multiple choreographers.  She also has performed on cruise ships, and a halftime show at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Lyndsey went on to receive her B.A in Dance performance studies and education with a minor in psychology from Roger Williams University in Bristol RI while working full time as a dance teacher at her childhood dance studio.  After graduating Lyndsey continued teaching and was offered to purchase the dance studio as her teacher wanted to retire. She went on to own and teach all styles of dance to ages 2 through adult for the next 15 years and also became certified in children’s yoga.  Her studio was her family.  Her students won numerous awards through competitions, participated in many community events and fundraisers, multiple shows a year and traveled for other opportunities related to dance education and performance. Lyndsey was also asked by her senior students for multiple years to mentor them for senior projects in dance in order to graduate and watch them take their love of dance into college.

Lyndsey is married with two daughters Gracelyn and Isabel.  Her husband’s job in the Navy brought them all here two years ago and after missing dance decided to step into a studio again.  Lyndsey is happy to be teaching again! She also enjoys subbing at her girls school part time while deciding what to do next!!
